Purpose: To ensure examinations of the highest scientific standard

This project is to ensure that the sampling, preparation, transport, storage and analysis of biological samples from the "Supermarket intervention", "Sleep and appetite" and the "School meal intervention" are carried out to the highest scientific standards so that the results are unaffected by 'noise' and so that the optimum statistical power is maintained in seeing the effects of the intervention.

 

Project description

The blood-based clinical biochemical analyses are carried out at the Department of Clinical Biochemistry at Gentofte University Hospital by a team headed by Professor and Chief Physician Steen Stender MD.

 

The analyses of appetite hormones and other less routine-based analyses will be carried out by the Department of Biomedical Science at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen. Head of department is Professor Jens Juul Holst MD.
